Solid Waste

      The Solid Waste Division has a full time staff of two employees dedicated to the collection of residential solid and special waste collections daily.  The City of Troy collects approximately 10,000 households of solid waste weekly. The Solid Waste Division is responsible for the following:
  • Administer the residential recycling program; see the Troy Recycling Awareness link to determine acceptable recycling materials.
  • Collect residential solid waste and special trash items weekly; see the Special Trash Collection page for a list of acceptable items.
  • Collect yard waste and brush.
