The Park Department reports directly directly to the Board of Park Commissioners and is responsible for maintaining all grounds and buildings throughout the parks. This work includes:
Mowing and trimming
Landscaping and mulching
Tree planting, pruning, and removal
Maintenance and watering of downtown flowers
Routine maintenance of picnic shelters, playgrounds, and buildings
Maintenance and preparation of soccer, football, baseball, and softball fields
Placement of the "Showmobile" and staging for various concerts and events throughout the Summer
