The Monarch Habitat Gazebo is a perfect place for new and experienced birdwatchers alike to gather, relax, enjoy nature, observe birds and learn more about local avifauna. The gazebo, as well as benches, a birdfeeder station, a webcam, and wireless access, were installed in 2022 through funding provided by the City of Troy and several generous local organizations.
- The Troy Foundation, established in 1924, connects donors to priority projects that meet social, educational, and community needs around Troy. The Troy Foundation works with non-profits to identify and promote high-impact projects.
- The Troy Rotary Club is the local chapter of Rotary International. Through the Troy Rotary Foundation, the club has provided support to community and educational causes since 1997.
- Rotary District 6670 consists of 48 clubs and over 2900 members in southwestern Ohio. The larger Rotary District helps bring together clubs in regional zones and organizes to address regional priorities.
- Wild Birds Unlimited specializes in birdseed, bird feeders, and many other bird feeding supplies. Support and expertise from the Huber Heights WBU store were essential to the gazebo project.
Intended to promote education about wildlife, the Monarch Habitat Gazebo welcomes schools, families, and visitors of all ages. You’ll see a variety of types of feeders, seeds, and proteins available for birds, and diverse wildflowers for pollinators.
