CLOSINGS AND REFUSE COLLECTION:
Troy City offices will be closed Friday, July 4, 2014, in observance of the July 4th holiday.
City refuse collection and curbside recycling WILL NOT BE DELAYED AND WILL BE COLLECTED BASED ON THE USUAL WEEKLY SCHEDULE.
There will be a parade on July 4th starting at 9:00 a.m. The Parade will form in the Hobart Arena Parking Lot, and follow the route of:
Staunton Road to North Market Street.
North Market Street to West Main Street.
West Main Street to Monroe Street, where it will conclude.
The City of Troy is grateful to the officers and volunteers of the Miami Valley Veterans Museum for all their efforts in organizing this parade. It is hoped that Troy and area citizens will continue to turn out to watch the parade and be supportive of those volunteers.
The Fireworks Display will be held on July 4 starting at approximately 10:00 p.m. The City appreciates the funding assistance of The Troy Foundation and the Concord Township Trustees towards the cost of the fireworks.
North Market Street will be closed from Water Street to Staunton Road from 9:30 p.m. until the fireworks are over and the crowd has dispersed (approximately 10:45 p.m.). The bike path will be closed east from the Senior Citizens Center and at Rutherford Drive starting at noon on July 4 until the fireworks are over.
In addition to the Market Street Bridge, excellent locations for viewing the fireworks will be the levee (top and both sides) and the seating area at the N. Market Street ball field.
