City officials continue to assess the damage from last evening’s high wind event. The downtown square has been reopened to vehicular traffic while that assessment continues. As Troy residents clean up any yard waste debris left from trees and brush, the City will suspend the rules related to curbside brush pickup through January 31st. Property owners should pile their yard waste debris at the curb and City crews will remove it as soon as possible. Only yard waste type debris can be picked up (leaves, branches, etc.). All other trash and recycling must be deposited in their refuse and recycling toters for normal weekly pick up.
We appreciate all of the offers of volunteer support and we will be in contact once the initial assessment is complete. If you or your organization would like to offer volunteer services, please forward your name, organization and contact information by email to volunteer@troyohio.gov, call the Troy Fire Department at (937) 335-1700, or message us through the City Facebook or Twitter accounts.
