The City thanks our residents and businesses for the overwhelming show of support after Saturday’s tornado, and for ongoing assistance with clean-up efforts. City crews continue to work to clear municipal property and roads.
City crews will be picking up brush and yard waste from residences through January 31. Please make sure to place brush in front of the property -- we cannot pick up brush placed in alleys. Refuse collection and curbside recycling will be on schedule.
The Troy Police Department asks residents to exercise caution when hiring contractors for clean-up work and home repairs; be sure to use common sense when hiring professionals, and do not pay in full before work is completed. Anyone selling services door-to-door is required to have a vendor’s permit.
Again, the City wishes to express appreciation to those who have offered to volunteer with clean-up efforts, and to those who have simply pitched in to assist neighbors after the January 11 tornado.
