Mayor Robin Oda is pleased to report that the Troy Community Improvement Corporation recommended, in a special meeting today, an amendment to the City’s contract with the Lincoln Community Center (LCC). Pending approval from its City Council, the City of Troy will increase its support to LCC by paying for all monthly utility costs, thus supporting LCC’s growth as a critical part of the Troy community.
“The Lincoln Community Center provides much value and quality of life for our City residents—from children’s programs to classes for senior citizens, exercise opportunities and events for all ages,” said Mayor Oda. “We are excited to see their continued growth and positive impact on the community.”
Lincoln Community Center Executive Director Shane Carter added, “We are very grateful for the City’s ongoing partnership. The collaboration between the City and LCC allows us to continue to provide a state-of-the-art facility with programs and events for all walks of life. This support is critical in allowing us to further our vision to educate, inform, and uplift the community of Troy.”
