Board of Park Commissioners

Governing Law: The Board of Park Commissioners is established in accordance with Section 933.01 of the Codified Ordinances and ORC Section 755 and subsequent sections.

The Board of Park Commissioners has maintenance control and responsibility over the real estate property and all improvements and buildings, along with all fixtures permanently affixed to such improvements and buildings, located in the parks of the City, including but not limited to the Senior Citizens Center and the Miami Shores Golf Club.

Appointment:

• Three Park Commissioners are appointed by the Mayor;
• Each commissioner serves a three-year term.

Residency: Appointees must reside within the city limits of Troy, Ohio.

Meeting Schedule: The Board of Park Commissioners is scheduled to meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall. Meeting times are subject to change.
