The Local Codes Appeals Board serves as a mechanism for property owners, builders, and other affected parties to hear appeal on certain decisions made by the City regarding code enforcement. The Board provides an opportunity for an independent review of disputed interpretations or applications of the property maintenance codes and helps ensure that those codes are administered fairly and consistently.

Governing law: The International Property Maintenance Code, as adopted through Troy Codified Ordinance Chapter 1307, establishes the board.
