The Troy Recreation Department provides a wide variety of year-round recreational programs, which include Say Soccer, girls Softball leagues, Adult softball leagues. In partnership with local community organizations, the department works to create opportunities for residents of all ages to stay active, have fun, and connect with the community. The department also oversees Hobart Arena and the Troy Aquatic Park along with scheduling of City of Troy Park facilities. The City of Troy only schedules game use of fields located at Archer Park, North Market Street ball fields, Mercer Field (located in Trostle Park), and Duke Park. Organizations are prioritized based on category as explained in the Field Use Application as well as prior use of the facilities.
Availability is limited, so new organizations may not be able to be accommodated.
Practices are NOT scheduled within the City of Troy. Practices are held on a first come, first serve basis. Duke Park Baseball & Softball fields, and North Market Baseball & Softball fields are NOT available for practice. For baseball & softball practices, available fields to practice on are Archer Park, Mercer Field, and Heywood school fields. If a field is lined, then it is reserved for a game, and practice is not permitted on that field.
