In true Troy form–and taking inspiration from our last legendary concert held in 2013–Troy City Council and Mayor Robin Oda are beyond excited to announce our latest epic celebration. We’re commemorating both the historic 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding and the 50th anniversary of the Troy Strawberry Festival with a can't-miss, free concert at Troy Memorial Stadium.
Even though our bands are still top-secret (until the ink is dry) here's what to know:
- The City of Troy, the Troy Strawberry Festival, The Troy Foundation, Troy Main Street, the Troy Chamber of Commerce, Miami County Visitors and Convention Bureau, and other fantastic partners are working together to make this a once-in-a-lifetime, uniquely Troy event.
- Two nationally-recognized artists will be performing.
- Most importantly, you'll want to mark your calendar for June 6. Come early for the Strawberry Festival, then stay late for the show–it’s sure to be a packed day of Troy fun.
Troy Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kathi Roetter shared her excitement for the show: “America 250 is a once-in-a-generation celebration, and we’re thrilled to partner with the City of Troy to bring this concert to the Troy Strawberry Festival. This event highlights the strong partnership we share and the pride we have in our community.”
We’re excited to work with our community partners on a thrilling night that Troy can be proud of. Keep an eye out for more information–coming to you soon.
