The Troy Development Council (TDC) and Troy Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) are seeking a dynamic, community-minded leader to guide economic development, strengthen business success, and elevate strategic initiatives that support Troy’s future. This role leads both organizations, collaborating with engaged boards, employers, and partners to attract new investment, retain and expand local businesses, and champion workforce solutions. Ideal candidates bring experience in economic development, Chamber leadership, workforce initiatives, and strategic organizational management. Strong financial, partnership-building, and board relations skills are essential — along with a genuine passion for helping businesses grow and communities thrive. The two agencies work in coordination with the City of Troy, under the leadership of the President/CEO, to support and develop Troy’s business community.

“The President and CEO plays a critical role in aligning economic development and business advocacy to ensure Troy continues to thrive,” said Annette Ryan-Baker, President of the Troy Development Council. “We are seeking a leader with vision, integrity, and a genuine passion for helping businesses and communities succeed.”

The TDC, a public/private economic development organization representing the area within and surrounding Troy, offers a range of economic development services to companies planning new or expanded facilities. The TACC is a 501(c)4 non-profit that exists to support Troy’s small business community, with over 535 invested businesses.

“This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to make a lasting impact in a strong, growing community,” said Bonnie Frey, Chairwoman of the Troy Area Chamber of Commerce. “We are looking for someone who understands collaboration, values relationships, and is ready to champion Troy’s businesses.”
