The Troy Mayors’ Concert will be held on Prouty Plaza in downtown Troy on Sunday, August 18, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. The Dayton Philharmonic Band under the direction of Patrick Reynolds will be presenting Pops Extravaganza featuring the outstanding vocalist Olivia Yokers. Praised for singing with “gorgeous vulnerability,” Olivia Yokers is well regarded for her thrilling voice and versatility onstage. The evening will also feature the Dayton Philharmonic Festival Chorus under the direction of Christina Smith.
This year marks the 27th anniversary of the event that also includes Troy Mayor Michael Beamish as conductor for His Honor March.
This summer event is being presented through the generosity of the Paul G. Duke Foundation, The Troy Foundation, the Joe and Betty Reardon Fund, the Richard Shellenbarger Music Fund, the Ray and Ruby Steinmetz Fund, and the Illinois Tool Works Foundation with additional support from other businesses and individuals, allowing us to offer the concert free of charge to the public.
Limited seating will be available, however you are encouraged to bring your lawn chairs. As in past years, handicapped parking will be available on South Market Street and Girl Scouts will assist with wheelchairs.
