At the July 18 Troy City Council meeting, Mayor Robin Oda announced the “Look Who Is Recycling” award winner for the second quarter of 2022. Rumpke of Ohio, Inc., the City’s curbside recycling contractor, runs the program as a tool to encourage residential recycling. Awards are given quarterly to City of Troy residents who actively recycle and share their reasons for doing so.
This quarter’s winner was the Jackie Call family of Dronfield Road. To answer the question, “Why do you recycle?” Jackie wrote that recycled materials can be reused, lowering the amount sent to landfills. “We feel like we are doing our part, and it’s a good lesson for the kids—they’re learning what can be recycled,” she wrote.
